As a dedicated creative who channels her emotions deeply through music, Alexia believes in building her students’ confidence as musicians and people. She believes in the importance of students learning proper practice habits to build their musical foundation and to develop an appreciation for their efforts to grow. From here, she encourages her students to explore their own ways of playing music for enjoyment period. Alexia believes in the balance of challenging her students to grow, while also giving them time to play and explore, all with her positive attitude of acceptance and empathy.

She recently graduated with her Master’s in Music Composition from the University of Michigan and holds a Bachelor’s in Composition and Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands in Southern California. Her background in classical composition and opera has given her a strong foundation in technique and creativity, which she passes on to her students. Some have even gone on to create their own unique compositions and songs to perform at recitals. One student chose to learn one of Alexia’s songs and unexpectedly performed it with her onstage during a live show!
