What You’ll Learn
Students will develop both technical skills and musicality, with an emphasis on:
- Proper stick grip and posture
- Reading rhythms and musical notation
- Playing with dynamics and tempo control
- Drum fills, soloing, and groove techniques
- Ear training and improvisation
- Backbeat patterns and coordination development
- Practice with a metronome and ensemble skills.
Who It’s For
- Young Beginners (ages 7–8+) – Students start with foundational technique and rhythm exercises.
- Teens – Develop advanced skills for school band, marching percussion, or gigging.
- Adults – Whether starting fresh or returning to percussion, we offer patient, goal-based instruction, learn more about our adult lessons.

Regular attendance and practice are essential for musical growth. We encourage students to commit to consistent lessons and participate in our biannual recitals. These performances offer a valuable opportunity to showcase progress, boost confidence, and share music in a supportive, low-pressure setting. Participation is tailored to each student’s comfort level and stage of development, ensuring everyone can shine.
