About Us
A Campus Born from a Love of Music
Blue Frog School of Music was founded in the early 1990s by Sonora Lee, a pianist, singer, and lifelong music educator. What began as teaching piano and voice lessons out of her home quickly grew into a thriving music community. As families searched for quality music school in Austin Tx, word of mouth and the internet helped bring them in. Today, Blue Frog has transformed a two-acre residence into a welcoming campus filled with music, art, and creativity.
Since 1990
Sonora grew up in northern Missouri in a family where music was at the center of gatherings. She studied piano, singing, and music therapy at the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory of Music and went on to direct the Music Therapy Department at San Antonio State School. After raising her family and teaching privately for many years, Sonora combined her love for music, community, and family into what became Blue Frog School of Music.

Driving Directions
The construction in our area has changed things yet again.
Use the ramp exit to Circle Dr. from Highway 290. Turn left onto the bridge over 290 toward South View Rd. Turn right immediately after the bridge to enter the frontage road. After passing the Automotive Specialists you come up on mailboxes and a private drive on your left. Turn down that drive and go all the way until the end. The drive will lead to our parking lot.
Note:GPS navigation apps may not get you all the way to our campus. You may want to keep this page open on your phone for reference when first driving to us.
