Aviana Burkepile
Years of Teaching Experience
Aviana discovered her passion for piano in third grade, immersing herself in music through recitals and regional piano competitions during her school years. With more than ten years of formal training, she combines technical proficiency with a warm, supportive teaching approach, inspiring her students to develop their skills and love for music.
From Opera Stages to the Classroom
Aviana Burkepile is a proud native of Kyle, Texas and is thrilled to be teaching in the community she calls home. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Oberlin Conservatory and a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Rice University.
Aviana’s professional singing career has taken her to stages across North America and Europe, with highlights including performances in Canada and Italy. Most recently, she appeared in multiple productions with Austin Opera during their 2024–2025 season and served as a Resident Artist with the Austin Opera Stars program.
During her academic years, Aviana performed lead roles in numerous operatic productions at both Oberlin and Rice, further developing her deep love for storytelling through music.
As a teacher, Aviana is passionate about creating a joyful, engaging space where students can explore their musical talents and grow in confidence. She believes learning music should be both fun and transformative, and she’s dedicated to helping each student develop a strong foundation while discovering their unique voice and artistry.
