From Playing Together to Growing Together

Kim Rae brings a dynamic blend of performance and real-world music experience to Blue Frog. With a background in stage management, theatre, and live music production, she has spent years both on stage playing and behind the scenes supporting musicians and helping bring performances together. Her work in production has spanned a wide range of settings, from the City of Houston’s “Office of Special Events” and SXSW to stages in Ibiza, Spain, coordinating multi-band showcases and large-scale events.

Starting at a young age, she became involved in both performance and production, gaining international experience along the way and continuing to explore new creative outlets, most recently musical improv.

She also founded a music circle in Austin that continues today, creating a space for musicians to connect, play, and grow together.

Kim Rae currently plays drums in a blues band and is also a songwriter, guitar player and vocalist with a love for harmonies. She continues to study under her mentors at Blue Frog and grow as a multi-instrumentalist.
